Since our website has been non-functional the past month basically & consulting several computer programmers we have decided to purchase a new website & blog. Don't ask me why we didn't do it sooner! It will arrive to us today, but we will spend the whole weekend getting our photos on it, videos, wedding stories, & info. Apple Orchard Field Trip

Here are a few pictures of our son's first field trip. Four or five kindergarten classes went to an apple orchard. It was very fun as each child picked apples, navigated through a corn field, fed goats, rode a tractor, & tasted apple cider. By the end of the day we were exhausted!

I'd like to introduce to our blog readers....Dr. Noel. He is my most avid blog stalker. Our concern is that he checks out our blog more than we do! Nevertheless, if all grooms cared as much about their wedding day photographs as much as Noel did we would be set! The country setting was gorgeous. I feel blessed & soooooooooo thankful they chose us to capture their wedding day. We were really impressed with Bryan.....he wrote Whitney a note on their first date & kept it for 4 years & presented it to her before the wedding with a gift. Congratulations Bryan & Whitney! Who said weddings aren't stressful? Just ask this little flower girl as she was trying to get ready! Thankfully, Whitney's mom stepped in & calmed her down.

I finally got to meet Adam & Ashley for their engagement session. They booked A Captured Photo over the phone from South Carolina. Our first engagement session was rained out. It was great that we met two weeks before the wedding, but horrible that it was 95 degrees & VERY humid! They were more than troopers putting up with the heat.

Whitney & her mom met me for her bridal session on a HOT day in May for her June wedding. Whitney was a trooper in the hot weather....sweat & all! We had to jump through so many hoops to shoot at these locations & there was a mix up with her stylist schedule so this session was a little stressful, but of course Whitney was gorgeous & will look even more beautiful on the big day!

We had a blast at Michael & Dani's wedding in Nashville. I had the help of three of my photographer friends: Tracie, Lisa, & Zeke. I cannot describe in words their amazing day from the details to taking off in a red, classic convertible. Experiencing weddings like Dani & Michael's reminds us, "We love what we do!" Ben & Mandy are such a great couple. It is obvious that they love each other tremendously just by the time I've spent with them during the engagement session & wedding day. Well, I will never, ever forget Ben & Mandy's wedding day....especially because I broke my elbow while photographing Mandy as she was putting on her wedding dress. What a dress it was!!! Actually it was! Congratulations Ben & Mandy! The minister led an awesome ceremony for Ben & Mandy. Zak & Amy's families made us feel sooooooooo welcomed. When we meet with couples as early as a year before their wedding day we truly never know what to expect on the wedding day as so many factors are at play: nerves kick in, getting ready gitters, exhaustion from the couple preparing the wedding (as there is so much detail work that cannot be done until the last few weeks), etc. Amy & Zak's families & wedding party were simply great to be around regardless of who was nervous. Maybe it was the Southern hospitality!

We already posted a few photographs from David & Latisha's wedding last weekend. However, while editing all the photographs we couldn't help but add these three. Maybe it's just our warped sense of humor, but we love the gentleman's expression being sandwiched by two ladies who were getting into the song YMCA at their table. Then, David really smeared cake in Latisha's face.
Her nose was completely stopped up with cake. Sally, her wedding coordinator had to dig the cake out....quite gross, but funny!

Saturday I met Chris & Jennifer at a few locations in Knoxville. Chris & Jennifer are just a great couple. It's obvious they love each other & they are so natural together.
